Before kids, when life was simpler, a group of my friends were Team KOMOBY. They were intense athletes that worked hard, played hard thus KOMOBY—King Of My Own Back Yard was born. It wasn’t until later in life that the concept had a rebirth. The guys I hung out with in the suburbs seemed to really relate to the concept and picked up on the fun and energy of it all.

One of my favorite movies of all times is History of the World by Mel Brooks. I love it when he says “It’s good to be the King”. That motto says is all - it's guy code.

To help bring KOMOBY to life we needed a KOMOBY dude—something that helps explain the spirit and energy of the concept while still being fun. With a KOMOBY dude in place we launched a website and geared for success.

KOMOBY is all about fun and lifting up the common man to their rightful place: King of Their Own Back Yard. Shouldn’t every man at least get that? To the suburban man KOMOBY is the brand of the work hard, play hard attitude. After long days at work, is there a better place to spend quality time with family and friends than your own back yard?
